Via IMDB news and SlashFilm, a new article entitled "The Correct Order to Watch The Alien Franchise" includes Effie director Allen Colombo's 2019 short film Alien: Last Signs of Life, a short sequel to Alien: Covenant shot on a recreation of the Covenant set. The film, which was produced for 20th Century Studios, follows an astronaut-detective as he searches for clues to Covenant's disappearance, and goes further under the skin of the Xenomorph than any Weyland-Yutani employee before him. Screen Rant also called the film "a significant turning point in the saga of Alien."
